Job Details

4 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Foundation in public accounting at a Big 4 or national firm (preferred)
Industry experience in a high-growth SaaS or Fintech environment (preferred)
Strong understanding of AP operations and required controls
Technical GAAP Foundation: ability to research a standard and draft an initial position
Experience with ASC 842, 350-40, 340-40, or 718 (plus)
Hands-on experience with an ERP like NetSuite
Working knowledge of Ramp or Bill.com (benefit)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Active CPA license (highly preferred)
Ability to document a position clearly for internal reviewers and external auditors

Identify repetitive or error-prone workflows and drive automation across the tech stack
Ensure tools are properly integrated and operating as a reliable single source of truth
Serve as the primary lead for all company spend, including AP invoices, corporate card transactions, and employee reimbursements
Ensure proper coding and policy compliance across a high-volume expenditure environment
Act as the point of contact for vendors and employees on all things payables
Resolve billing discrepancies and partner with internal teams on expense policies
Own specific, material segments of the GL and produce audit-ready reconciliations and workpapers
Hit firm month-end close deadlines with a high standard of documentation
Support the GL Accounting Manager during the annual audit by providing clear support for financial statement positions
Execute and refine the internal control framework, flagging gaps and enforcing protocols
Research accounting standards, apply guidance, and document positions, particularly for ASC 350-40 and ASC 718
