- 8+ years in finance or accounting with demonstrated leadership experience
- CPA strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Deep understanding of startup financial operations
- Deep understanding of GAAP accounting
- Proficiency with Carta
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Experience in a venture-backed startup environment
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Able to lead independently with minimal ramp time
Responsibilities
- Drive financial governance and compliance
- Manage accounting oversight during a pivotal growth phase
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure financial integrity
- Support the organization in navigating financial complexities while maintaining operational efficiency
- Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders
- Help maintain proactive financial strategies throughout the coverage period
- Own GAAP-compliant books and manage the monthly close process
- Ensure audit readiness and monitor cash health
- Serve as primary liaison to external auditors and tax advisors
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across financial operations
- Oversee equity administration and investor reporting requirements
- Prepare Budget vs. Actual reporting and support departmental budget alignment
- Ensure compliance frameworks are maintained and audit-ready
