Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing professional learning experiences and/or products (ideally CS and AI-focused)
  • Experience as a product manager in the ed tech/curriculum provider space
  • 2+ years of experience as a people manager, or equivalent experience mentoring/managing contractors
  • Knowledge of CS and AI concepts relevant to the CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework
  • Proficient in at least one text-based programming language (e.g. Python or JavaScript)
  • Deep and up-to-date understanding of adult learning principles
  • Experience using product, market, and customer data to make product decisions
  • Strong project manager with experience leading, managing, and prioritizing multiple complex projects
  • Deep understanding of best practices to support equitable classroom environments and student-centered pedagogy
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-functional and cross-org relationships
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to drive clarity through ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with significant independence and sound judgment in ambiguous or fast-changing environments
  • Intellectual curiosity about emerging trends in education, technology, and AI

Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategy for Code.org’s professional learning products with the Director of Teaching and Learning
  • Define compelling, right-sized products to achieve organizational goals
  • Manage the team of Code.org professional learning content developers, mentoring them and supporting their growth
  • Lead the team of PL content developers in building and launching products
  • Manage projects, creating roadmaps and milestones and allocating resources
  • Standardize workflows, development processes, and pedagogical approaches
  • Set goals and metrics, develop evaluation plans, collect, analyze, and act on data from a variety of sources
  • Review and provide feedback on PL products in development and manage an external review process
  • Develop effective partnerships and working relationships within and outside of the organization
  • Maintain a deep understanding of what educators need in order to successfully implement CS and AI curricula
