Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing and developing professional learning experiences and/or products (ideally CS and AI-focused)
- Experience as a product manager in the ed tech/curriculum provider space
- 2+ years of experience as a people manager, or equivalent experience mentoring/managing contractors
- Knowledge of CS and AI concepts relevant to the CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework
- Proficient in at least one text-based programming language (e.g. Python or JavaScript)
- Deep and up-to-date understanding of adult learning principles
- Experience using product, market, and customer data to make product decisions
- Strong project manager with experience leading, managing, and prioritizing multiple complex projects
- Deep understanding of best practices to support equitable classroom environments and student-centered pedagogy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Experience building and maintaining cross-functional and cross-org relationships
- Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to drive clarity through ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to operate with significant independence and sound judgment in ambiguous or fast-changing environments
- Intellectual curiosity about emerging trends in education, technology, and AI
Responsibilities
- Develop the strategy for Code.org’s professional learning products with the Director of Teaching and Learning
- Define compelling, right-sized products to achieve organizational goals
- Manage the team of Code.org professional learning content developers, mentoring them and supporting their growth
- Lead the team of PL content developers in building and launching products
- Manage projects, creating roadmaps and milestones and allocating resources
- Standardize workflows, development processes, and pedagogical approaches
- Set goals and metrics, develop evaluation plans, collect, analyze, and act on data from a variety of sources
- Review and provide feedback on PL products in development and manage an external review process
- Develop effective partnerships and working relationships within and outside of the organization
- Maintain a deep understanding of what educators need in order to successfully implement CS and AI curricula
