Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer or Analytics Engineer
- Expertise in building data models, reports, and dashboards at an enterprise scale
- Proficient in SQL
- Experienced with modern BI tools (Power BI and Sigma preferred)
- Experience developing custom calculations, complex visualizations, and migrating assets between platforms
- Demonstrated success in migrating reports and analytics assets between BI platforms
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Solid understanding of data pipelines
- Solid understanding of cloud data platforms like Snowflake, including BI tool integration
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills
- Track record of cross-functional collaboration
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience creating documentation, training materials, and providing support for BI tools and reporting solutions
- Experience with Git for managing deployments, version control, and collaborative development workflows
Responsibilities
- Lead the full migration of reports and analytics from legacy systems (Power BI on Postgres/Azure) to modern tools (Sigma on Snowflake), including analysis, data mapping, testing, and validation.
- Work with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to understand existing reports and gather requirements for building scalable BI solutions.
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help customers make data-driven decisions.
- Use analytics engineering best practices to build and improve data models for performance, consistency, and reuse.
- Ensure data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
- Identify and fix issues with data quality, BI tools, and performance.
- Provide user support and training for BI tools, and create reusable solutions and documentation to solve common reporting challenges.
- Use Coalesce and Git to manage deployments, track changes, and support team collaboration.
- Explain complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
