Requirements
- Strong product design portfolio (shipped consumer or SaaS products)
- Experience leading design in a small company or startup (strategist and executor)
- Comfort with brand and marketing design
- Design systems experience (built or maintained component libraries, bridging design and engineering)
- Hands-on experience with Figma variables
- Hands-on experience with design tokens
- Hands-on experience with LLM-powered code-generation workflows
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Willingness to push back and defend user needs
- AI-native mindset (integrated AI into design process)
Responsibilities
- Lead a small design team
- Own the design vision for the company's web platform and new product surfaces
- Collaborate with Directors of Product and Engineering to bring products to life
- Drive strategy to meet customer needs
- Advocate for UX quality
- Own the aesthetic and emotional identity of the Soundstripe brand
- Provide creative direction across product and brand/marketing design
- Lead and maintain the design system, including token-based components and Figma-to-code workflows
