Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • Up to 5 years of experience in a corporate compliance or legal environment (including internships or clerkships)
  • Strong analytical and research skills with ability to interpret and apply legal principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in contract negotiation and drafting
  • Familiarity with corporate governance and compliance issues
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to utilize document management systems effectively
  • Familiarity with CLM or compliance management software (Preferred)
  • Experience delivering compliance training to non-legal stakeholders (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal expertise across corporate and commercial matters
  • Ensure Riverside operates responsibly, mitigates risk, and supports our mission
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold compliance, strengthen governance, and deliver practical legal solutions
  • Review, draft, and negotiate agreements (vendor, client, data privacy, service, and NDAs)
  • Execute redlines and recommend strategic approaches to secure favorable positions
  • Suggest and implement process improvements within the legal function
  • Develop and deliver mini-trainings on compliance topics for internal stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships as a trusted legal advisor to internal teams
  • Ensure timely contract reviews and adherence to service-level agreements
