Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction
- Up to 5 years of experience in a corporate compliance or legal environment (including internships or clerkships)
- Strong analytical and research skills with ability to interpret and apply legal principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in contract negotiation and drafting
- Familiarity with corporate governance and compliance issues
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to utilize document management systems effectively
- Familiarity with CLM or compliance management software (Preferred)
- Experience delivering compliance training to non-legal stakeholders (Preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide legal expertise across corporate and commercial matters
- Ensure Riverside operates responsibly, mitigates risk, and supports our mission
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold compliance, strengthen governance, and deliver practical legal solutions
- Review, draft, and negotiate agreements (vendor, client, data privacy, service, and NDAs)
- Execute redlines and recommend strategic approaches to secure favorable positions
- Suggest and implement process improvements within the legal function
- Develop and deliver mini-trainings on compliance topics for internal stakeholders
- Build strong relationships as a trusted legal advisor to internal teams
- Ensure timely contract reviews and adherence to service-level agreements
