Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience in a fast-paced company
- Experience with data platforms, customer engagement platforms, or streaming applications
- Proficiency in the big data ecosystem e.g. Kafka, ElasticSearch, Clickhouse, Spark, Presto/Athena, or similar technologies
- Technically savvy and experienced with the cloud, APIs, communications, enterprise software, data reliability, and ETL techniques
- Customer oriented approach with an amazing ability to understand customer’s challenges and articulate a vision to solve them
- Background in Data Governance, including cataloging metadata, data reliability, sensitive data classification and access management
- Ability to solicit customer requirements from many sources, prioritize, and work with engineering and design to deliver
- Experience with a data insights product with a large user base
- Strategic problem solver and flourish operating in broad scope, from conception through continuous operation of 24x7 services
- Solved sophisticated problems and have the aptitude to navigate uncharted waters
- Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience required
Responsibilities
- Drive Data Insights and Twilio's Data Governance initiatives across Twilio
- Ensure safe customer data handling, supporting data privacy and compliance
- Manage data pipeline security, data reliability, and access controls
- Act as the bridge to reporting systems trusted by customers, executives and shareholders
- Champion customer-facing product development that will reduce time to insights
- Own the cradle to grave product lifecycle for insights platforms
- Understand the needs of our end customers in the global communications market and build a platform to help internal teams manage and leverage their data to derive meaningful insights
- Support Data Governance initiative for data pipelines and insights products, working with product managers and engineering counterparts across various organizations and stakeholders
