Requirements
- Direct GDS API experience with Sabre, Travelport+/Galileo, or Amadeus (non-negotiable).
- 3+ years building production web applications.
- React or Next.js and modern component patterns on the front end.
- Postgres (or equivalent) and strong data modeling instincts.
- Solid grounding in auth, security, and PII handling.
- Practical testing and CI/CD discipline.
- Fluency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot) and a real opinion about their usage.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Responsibilities
- Own the layer that turns advisor intent (and increasingly, AI-generated itineraries) into real, ticketed bookings through the GDS and travel supplier APIs.
- Build the integration layer between AIVIA and the GDS & travel APIs — fares, availability, PNRs, queues, ticketing, and the messy edges between them.
- Develop the data model for itineraries, segments, and pricing that the rest of the platform (and our AI tools) build on top of.
- Create the booking flows that AIVIA's AI agents call into when they construct trips for advisors.
- Engineer the instrumentation, retries, and failure handling that keep the engine trustworthy at scale.
