Requirements

  • Strong product management experience within complex, data-heavy, or financial systems environments
  • Ability to operate at the intersection of technology, finance, and operations
  • Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and translating ambiguity into structured product direction
  • Proven experience in product management owning complex, financially critical domains such as billing, invoicing, or revenue systems
  • Strong understanding of financial workflows including reconciliation, adjustments, credit handling, and audit requirements
  • Familiarity with ERP or financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or similar) and invoice lifecycle management
  • Experience working across multiple upstream systems to ensure downstream data integrity and accuracy
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging enterprise clients and senior leadership
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics and AI tools to guide product decisions
  • Experience in regulated or complex industries (energy, fintech, utilities, or similar SaaS environments) is highly valuable
  • Understanding of energy industry mechanisms (e.g., smart metering, flexible tariffs, settlement processes) is a plus
  • Strong communication, prioritisation, and systems-thinking capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the billing domain
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant invoicing across complex energy use cases
  • Translate regulatory, commercial, and operational requirements into clear product direction
  • Ensure alignment across multiple stakeholders and systems
  • Own the end-to-end billing product strategy, including calculations, adjustments, and evolving revenue models such as flexible energy tariffs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure upstream data (metering, tariffs, settlements) flows correctly into billing outputs
  • Lead responses to regulatory and industry changes impacting billing processes and compliance requirements
  • Identify opportunities for AI, automation, and data-driven improvements to reduce billing errors and manual intervention
  • Maintain and prioritise a clear, outcome-driven backlog aligned with engineering delivery and business goals
  • Ensure billing supports SLAs, audits, regulatory reporting, and customer satisfaction targets
  • Drive collaboration across product domains to minimise upstream data quality issues affecting billing accuracy
