Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a PO or PM on digital ecommerce products with direct ownership over checkout flows, conversion, or payments
- Deep knowledge of the online payments ecosystem (PSPs like Worldpay, Stripe, Adyen, Redsys, Braintree; virtual POS terminals; pricing models; dispute and chargeback management)
- Experience optimizing the checkout funnel, including friction reduction, drop-off analysis, conversion-oriented UX improvements, and payment error handling
- Familiarity with frontend concepts relevant to checkout (page load performance, form validation patterns, cross-browser/device compatibility, JavaScript-heavy implementations)
- Familiarity with emerging payment methods and international markets (BNPL like Klarna, Scalapay, Afterpay; digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bizum; open banking; instant payments)
- Knowledge of applicable regulation (PSD2, SCA, 3DS2, GDPR as applied to payment flows)
- Real experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), writing quality user stories, well-defined DoDs, sprint management, and coordination across BE, FE, QA, and UX
- Data-driven mindset, comfortable reading dashboards, interpreting conversion metrics, rejection rates by PSP or payment method, processing time, and chargeback ratios
- Ability to design and run A/B tests in the checkout environment with clear hypotheses and defined success metrics
- AI-native working mindset, actively using AI tools as part of daily workflow (LLMs for drafting stories, generating test cases, summarizing research)
- Fluent Spanish and English (written and spoken)
- Experience with PSP technical integrations at the API level (webhooks, payment events, transaction state handling, retries) is a big plus
- Knowledge of analytics tools (Amplitude, Datadog, Mixpanel, GA4) applied to payment funnel analysis is a big plus
- Experience with CMPs and consent management in checkout flows (Didomi, OneTrust, or similar) is a big plus
- Familiarity with BI tools (Qlik, Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to build or interpret payments performance reports is a big plus
Responsibilities
- Directly own checkout flows, conversion, or payments for digital ecommerce products
- Optimize the checkout funnel: friction reduction, drop-off analysis by step, conversion-oriented UX improvements, payment error handling, and status messaging
- Manage agile backlogs with Scrum/Kanban, write quality user stories, and coordinate across BE, FE, QA, and UX
- Read dashboards, interpret conversion metrics, rejection rates by PSP or payment method, processing time, and chargeback ratios to make data-driven decisions
- Design and run A/B tests in the checkout environment, define success metrics, and scale what works
- Actively use AI tools for daily workflow (e.g., drafting user stories, generating test cases, summarizing research)
- Evaluate AI-powered product features (e.g., smart payment routing, fraud detection models, personalized checkout experiences)
- Understand the online payments ecosystem including PSPs, virtual POS terminals, pricing models, and dispute/chargeback management
- Ensure proposed business changes align with regulations like PSD2, SCA, 3DS2, and GDPR
