Requirements
- 3+ years of LMS administration or similar ed-tech platform experience
- Hands-on experience with a major LMS (Canvas strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of LMS architecture (courses, roles, permissions, integrations)
- Experience supporting technical systems in a structured IT environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Experience working with instructional designers or curriculum teams (preferred)
- Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or other eLearning standards (preferred)
- Experience with SSO (SAML, OAuth) and system integrations (SIS, APIs) (preferred)
- Background in K-12, higher education, or workforce learning environments (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Own all aspects of LMS administration including user management, roles and permissions, integrations, and platform settings
- Manage system upgrades, releases, and patches in coordination with vendors
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and data integrity; proactively resolve issues
- Maintain clear documentation of system configurations and processes
- Manage third-party integrations and single sign-on (SSO) connections
- Serve as the escalation point for complex LMS-related issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to enrollment, grading, access, and integrations
- Partner with instructional and learning teams on course design and platform capabilities
- Configure and launch courses, programs, and learning pathways
- Deliver training for faculty, staff, and administrators on LMS best practices
- Generate and analyze LMS reports and learning analytics
