Requirements
- At least 6 years of product management experience with a SaaS company
- Ability to operate and engage with a scrum team with no supervision
- Proven experience working in Agile Scrum environment
- Ability to write concise and useful requirements, documentation, and user stories
- Knowledge and product experience in web and mobile applications
- Must be organized and comfortable prioritizing the roadmap and defending the prioritization to stakeholders
- Strong communication skills to share the vision of the product with customers and internal stakeholders
- Experience working with senior leadership across other company verticals including sales, marketing, and customer support
- Ability to articulate and drive research and design needs in support of product decisions
- Familiarity with the Field Services industry (ideal)
- Familiarity with email and SMS delivery platforms (e.g., Twilio, SendGrid, or similar)
- Experience supporting or managing software integrations and working with APIs
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a core product area within the product portfolio.
- Craft a vision for their product area and a plan for how to execute that vision.
- Clearly articulate how their product roadmaps align with the product strategy and quantifiably impact customers.
- Own the management of their roadmap and understand the reasoning behind each decision.
- Engage customers weekly to better understand the industry, pain points, and how team delivery will solve problems.
- Establish and align product roadmaps with the broader product strategy.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Engage current and prospective customers to understand and analyze their needs.
- Develop an astute understanding of the industry including emerging trends, new available technologies, and addressable markets.
- Engage with design, research, and development to clearly articulate customer pain points and build a process for effective problem solving.
- Partner with marketing and sales to outline delivered customer value and support proper go to market positioning.
- Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Deliver clear and comprehensive product requirements to provide guidance to the development team.
- Identify and eliminate low value work undertaken by their agile team.
- Focus on customer value and identify MVP solutions that deliver on that value with the least amount of time, effort and risk.
- Use data and analytics to guide decision-making, optimize product performance, and measure success.
- Identify key success metrics for initiatives and ties those metrics to overall business metrics.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
