Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in the software industry (technical consultant, architect, developer, or solution designer)
- 2+ years as a Technical Product Manager or similar role
- Proven experience with ERP Finance products or large-scale financial systems
- Strong understanding of ERP Finance concepts (GL, AP, AR, budgeting, fund/grant accounting, reporting, non-profit workflows)
- Experience designing scalable, secure backend systems
- API and integration design (REST, event-driven systems)
- Data modeling for financial systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable)
- Understanding of security, access controls, and audit logging
- Non-Profit or Public Sector finance experience
- Strong communication with finance and technical audiences
- Ability to translate accounting concepts into technical designs
- Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience with prototyping tools (Lovable, Replit, Bolt, or similar)
- Experience with diagramming tools (Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, Figma)
Responsibilities
- Own product and technical design for core Sparkrock Finance capabilities (General Ledger, AP, AR, budgeting, fund accounting, reporting, integrations)
- Partner with stakeholders to translate finance business needs into clear technical and functional requirements
- Design scalable, secure, and compliant financial solutions (workflows, integrations, data models, APIs)
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, implementation, and customer success teams
- Produce detailed functional and technical specifications, diagrams, and decision records
- Evaluate trade-offs, ensure accounting correctness, performance, auditability, and compliance
- Ensure features are production-ready with clear rollout plans and documentation
