Job Details

1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems
Proficient in Python or Kotlin
Familiarity with distributed systems building blocks
Familiarity with AWS
Familiarity with MySQL
Familiarity with Kubernetes
Ability to take a simple problem or business scenario into a solution with multiple software components
Ability to write clear, easily understood, well tested and extensible code
Comfortable navigating a large code base
Comfortable debugging others' code
Ability to provide feedback to other engineers through code reviews
Ownership of personal growth
Proactively seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Break down larger projects into individual tasks
Deliver projects in multiple phases
Collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery of work
Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle
Participate in ideation with product management, design & analytics
Articulate technical constraints
Partner on decisions considering risks and trade-offs
Support the operations and availability of team’s artifacts
Create and monitor metrics
Escalate issues when needed
Support “keep the lights on” & on-call efforts
Contribute to a sense of community by engaging in growth and development activities
