Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • ISEB / ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance within an Agile environment.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using one or more of the following: Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Ranorex (or equivalent modern tools).
  • Experience testing web, mobile, and Windows desktop applications.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum delivery models.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and collaboration.
  • Experience using virtualised or cloud-based environments (e.g. Azure VMs, VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to analyse requirements and design effective, risk-based test approaches.
  • Strong understanding of software quality principles and user experience considerations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised, with strong time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a global, distributed team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts covering all layers of testing (UI, API, integration, system, and regression).
  • Perform a range of testing activities including smoke, functional, integration, compatibility, performance, regression, and exploratory testing (manual and automated).
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Ensure testing is aligned with Agile delivery practices and integrated into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
  • Identify, investigate, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, impact assessment, and supporting evidence.
  • Collaborate with developers to analyse root causes, suggest resolutions, and validate fixes.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve test efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall product quality.
  • Promote quality best practices, standards, and a “shift-left” quality mindset across delivery teams.
  • Install, configure, and manage test environments, configurations, and data.
  • Support investigation of customer-reported issues in collaboration with Technical Support and Engineering teams.
