Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software development as part of a team
- Meaningful experience in platform engineering, developer experience, or developer tooling
- Growing track record building AI-powered or LLM-driven systems
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI tooling, understanding practical realities of working with models like Claude in production systems
- A product mindset for internal platforms, treating developer tooling as a product
- Technical versatility across a polyglot stack, with experience in two or more of Ruby, Python, TypeScript, or Java/Kotlin
- Experience building governance, policy, or guardrail systems
- Data-informed decision-making, using metrics to identify opportunities and measure impact
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, building trust and driving alignment
Responsibilities
- Build the shared AI tooling platform from the ground up, including designing and implementing shared infrastructure for AI-assisted development.
- Consolidate one-off and custom LLM tools into a governed, reusable platform.
- Accelerate developer productivity through AI-powered automation, building tools for AI-assisted code review, automated PR approvals, and intelligent deployment checks.
- Design and implement guardrails, policy controls, verification layers, and governance tooling to ensure safe, compliant, and aligned AI interactions.
- Drive measurable adoption across a polyglot engineering organization (Ruby on Rails, Python, TypeScript, Java/Kotlin).
- Track adoption, satisfaction, and impact rigorously, using data to guide development.
- Define the standards and practices for AI-assisted engineering, including LLM integrations, cost governance, and tooling strategy.
- Partner with teams across the organization, share expertise through documentation and code reviews, and mentor developers.
