Requirements
- 2+ years experience managing a team of Software Engineers
- 5+ years of overall development experience
- Deep proficiency with distributed / data-oriented application development and SaaS
- Experience planning and leading development efforts on large projects
- Previous experience leading and mentoring teams and driving them toward big goals with consistent execution
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to succinctly explain deep technical concepts
- Experience leading Agile / Scrum ceremonies
- Background in technical execution and a product mindset
- Strong technical judgment in distributed, service-oriented architectures and API design
- Ability to navigate trade-offs and guide engineers through complex decisions
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, cross-functional environments
Responsibilities
- Work on products and services aimed at simplifying scheduling for millions of users
- Lead agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done
- Coach, mentor, and onboard new engineering team members
- Identify future technical needs and creating plans to meet them
- Providing feedback and guidance to help us continuously grow and scale
- Hiring engineers to build out both new and existing squads for the company, with oversight on all team members that get hired onto the squad
- Participate in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
