- Demonstrated production experience with AWS serverless infrastructure
- Experience with AWS Lambda
- Experience with AWS Cognito
- Experience with AWS SES
- Experience with AWS IAM
- Experience with AWS ACM
- Experience with AWS CloudWatch
- Hands-on Terraform experience for AWS
- Experience with multi-environment or multi-region deployments using Terraform
- Node.js proficiency
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0
- Working knowledge of OpenID Connect
- Working knowledge of password-based Cognito authentication flows
- Familiarity with GDPR
- Familiarity with AWS data residency controls in an EU deployment context
- Direct AWS Cognito experience: USER_PASSWORD_AUTH flows, forced password reset (FORCE_CHANGE_PASSWORD state), and admin-initiated flows (preferred)
- Experience implementing country-specific registration and consent logic within a shared identity platform (preferred)
- JIT account migration experience with forced reset on first login patterns (preferred)
- Dynatrace APM integration in a Lambda/serverless environment (preferred)
- Social IdP integration via Cognito (Google, Apple, Facebook) (preferred)
- Kount or equivalent fraud detection API integration (preferred)
- Multi-regional identity platform experience at scale (1M+ MAU) (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Implement backend middleware and identity services
- Extend AWS Cognito identity platform to support European markets
- Implement loyalty registration and authentication scoped to country-specific rules
- Work independently from existing architecture documentation
- Deliver against a fixed production deadline
