Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud environments, ideally in data engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in Spark (Scala), Python, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, and Lambda.
- Deep understanding of ETL design, data modeling, and scalable data architecture principles.
- Ability to analyze complex systems end-to-end and make sound technical decisions in context.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to edge cases, scalability, and performance considerations.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced level of English.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) (Nice to have).
- Experience with Apache Iceberg (Nice to have).
- Experience with data quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Deequ) (Nice to have).
- Experience with scripting (Bash, HCL) (Nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions in AWS, ensuring high-quality, secure, and efficient data pipelines and architectures.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines and platforms using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, and Lambda.
- Build and evolve modern data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouse, and data mesh approaches.
- Develop end-to-end data solutions, including reusable frameworks beyond individual pipelines.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and DevOps teams to deliver high-value, scalable data products.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and information management policies.
- Lead incident resolution for data-related issues and own projects from design through delivery and continuous improvement.
