  • Expert-level understanding of audio mixing
  • Expert-level understanding of music selection
  • Portfolio must specifically showcase Direct Response or UGC-style ads
  • Portfolio must include examples of best hooks
  • Portfolio must include proof of UGC integration (making raw phone footage look like a high-converting ad)
  • Portfolio must include ads that demonstrate high engagement through editing

Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form YouTube ads and Shorts designed to drive performance and conversions
  • Prioritize results over "cinematic flair," focusing on high-retention editing that stops the scroll
  • Create short-form video ads tailored for YouTube's ecosystem
  • Use "pattern interrupts" like zooms, captions, and sound design to keep viewers engaged
  • Focus heavily on the first 3 seconds to create aggressive, scroll-stopping hooks
  • Edit multiple versions of the same content to test different hooks or visual styles
  • Maintain high-volume output while ensuring pacing, color, and audio are top-tier
