Requirements
- 7 years of related experience managing projects
- 3 years of experience managing a grant-making process (preferred)
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to positively and proactively engage stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with or aptitude for building new initiatives
- Experience in philanthropy and/or nonprofit sector (preferred)
- Ability to actively engage in and demonstrate commitment to the Council’s Operating Principles and Inclusion values
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to listen well
- Ability to positively represent the organization and its mission
- Ability to manage many and/or differing tasks, maintain productivity, and successfully meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively and positively both independently and on a team
- Experience or ability to use CRM database solutions, preferably Salesforce
- Proficient skill in Microsoft Office 365 applications
Responsibilities
- Manage a multi-pronged initiative supporting community foundations in implementing community-based projects for connection and collaboration, including a grant portfolio, learning and storytelling agenda, and preconference convenings.
- Lead the implementation of virtual discussion series highlighting thinkers on collaboration.
- Support programming offered in collaboration with external partners, such as Communicating Across Divides: A Facilitation Intensive.
- Work with the Executive Vice President to build internal capacity for common ground related offerings.
- Support the Executive Vice President in advancing strategy-related priorities and translating strategy into organizational process and policy.
- Manage a variety of projects that advance the priorities of the Strategy, Learning, and Leadership team in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to overarching organizational goals by participating in cross-functional working groups.
