Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Property Accounting experience with AppFolio
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting and GL coding
  • Proficient with AppFolio
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to balance large volume of data
  • Attention to detail and well-organized
  • Ability to work independently and with various team members
  • Ability to discuss delinquencies with tenants
  • Ability to work within set standards and procedures, receive guidance, supervision, follow work rules, safety and security practices, and meet deadlines
  • Highly organized, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team while managing priorities and handling multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Process and enter high volumes of invoices in AppFolio
  • Code expenses accurately to properties, units, and GL accounts
  • Manage the full AP cycle: invoice entry, approvals, and payments
  • Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and certificates of insurance
  • Prepare 1099 Forms
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
  • Post tenant payments in AppFolio
  • Assist with month-end close and reporting
  • Process deposits for incoming Tenant rent payments
  • Assist with tenant collections
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Review and analyze financial reports
  • Submit monthly reports to property owners
  • Enter annual budget data into AppFolio
  • Assist in new property transition
