Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Ability to analyze and understand financial statements
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Ability and confidence to communicate accurate accounting details to clients and coworkers
- Experience with QuickBooks (preferred)
- Experience with small business accounting (preferred)
- Experience with eCommerce business (preferred)
- Experience as a controller (a plus)
- CPA certification (a plus)
- CMA certification (a plus)
- Ability to communicate effectively across virtual teams
- Confidence and ability to meet with clients
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Self-starter who can work independently
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for clients
- Handle a variety of financial tasks for each client
- Manage and train specialists
- Handle general client accounts
- Answer client questions and find solutions to problems
- Review finance information from all sections of clients' companies
- Learn eCommerce and inventory accounting
- Work with the sales tax team to provide the best financial picture to eCommerce clients
- Confidently engage with clients and explain all financial matters
- Analyze financial data to create monthly and annual reports
- Maintain financial records
- Participate in audits or reconciliations as needed
