Principal Data Center Design Electrical Engineer

BSc/MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering for data centers, mission-critical infrastructure Strong background in power distribution systems Expert knowledge of electrical infrastructure components, including switchgear, transformers, UPS, cooling systems, and fire suppression technology Familiarity with advanced power redundancy strategies, load management, and energy efficiency optimization Strong leadership experience

Lead electrical design strategy for data center projects Define and implement power systems Develop cost-optimized, scalable electrical designs Evaluate emerging technologies Collaborate cross-functionally with compute, networking, and storage teams Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements Lead technical reviews, commissioning activities, and design summits Champion reliability, safety, and operational efficiency Evaluate and collaborate with MEP design partners Manage contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and vendor documentation Lead electrical design conversations with core partners Understand core design characteristics of target customers Mentor and develop junior engineers Provide thought leadership
