Requirements:
2-4 years of progressive experience in payroll administration. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field preferred. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus. Proficiency in payroll software and systems. Strong Excel skills. Experience with Workday strongly preferred. Solid understanding of payroll processes, US labor laws, taxation, and statutory compliance. Experience with multi-state payroll processes and taxation is highly valued. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information. Employee service oriented. Ability to adapt to a growing, dynamic environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Assist in end-to-end payroll processing for exempt and hourly employees. Process payroll transactions including new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, and garnishments. Support processing of timecards, off-cycle payrolls, and manual checks. Validate payroll information and resolve discrepancies. Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll-related inquiries. Maintain payroll records for compliance with labor and tax laws. Support administration of leaves of absence and workers' compensation related to payroll. Build and refine scalable payroll processes, documentation, and workflows. Collaborate with People Team, Accounting, and Finance to ensure data accuracy. Prepare payroll and benefit journal entries for the general ledger. Reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts. Assist in gathering data for payroll tax and benefits audits. Support the development and maintenance of process and control documentation.
