Part-Time Veterinarian - Vancouver, WA

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited veterinary school Active (or ability to obtain) veterinary license in the state of practice Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license Availability to work some weekends as part of a rotating schedule Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance Candidates will be subject to a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check post-hire and prior to their associated start date

Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets Guide families in making end-of-life decisions for their pets Build relationships with local veterinary clinics Provide in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care in a compassionate, Fear Free–aligned manner Support families through the end-of-life process with empathy, patience, and professionalism Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Collaborate with Heartstrings’ medical leadership and support teams Participate in ongoing training, education, and clinical development
