Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
- 5+ years in Backend Development
- At least 3 years specifically focused on IoT/M2M product ecosystems
- Ability to troubleshoot network-layer issues specific to cellular M2M environments
- Demonstrated ability to take a product from conceptual phase to global scale
- Mastery of Node.js and NestJS (TypeScript)
- Proven experience in designing Event-Driven Architectures and Microservices
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design and performance tuning)
- Experience integrating with Connectivity Management Platforms (CMPs)
- Understanding of NB-IoT, LTE-M, and 4G/5G constraints
- Hands-on experience with hardware-to-backend integration for Telematics and Smart Metering
- Expertise in MQTT/S, CoAP, and handling binary data payloads
- Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building automated deployment pipelines
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a greenfield, microservice-based backend architecture
- Integrate diverse hardware and manage M2M SIM lifecycle
- Develop handlers for IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/2, WebSockets, LwM2M)
- Implement logic to monitor signal strength and manage APN configurations
- Build complex backend logic for smart solutions
- Manage massive streams of time-series data using PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB
- Implement security including TLS/SSL, X.509 certificates, and Private APN/VPN tunneling
