Cardiovascular Data Abstractor: Part-Time

Direct cardiovascular registry abstraction experience (Chest Pain MI, ELSO, AFib Ablation, ICD). Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases. Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Microsoft Excel). Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. High standards for accuracy and attention to detail. Technical savvy and strong desire to learn new systems and technology. Ability to thrive working independently and take ownership of projects. Consistently and clearly communicate, adjusting style and tone as needed. Strong self-organizational and time management skills. Ability to adapt to changes in timelines, requirements, and project assignments. Maintain a high degree of responsibility in keeping PHI secure and confidential.

Categorize, code, summarize, and interpret registry/case information from patient medical records using specialized clinical knowledge. Ensure quality submission of data to specified registries or data repositories with high accuracy. Prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines for multiple concurrent tasks and team requests. Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry tools, troubleshooting technical issues. Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, and abstraction guidelines; identify process improvement opportunities. Stay updated on mandated regulatory/publicly reported data requirements. Perform additional assigned responsibilities.
