Data Warehouse Senior Consultant - Remote - Octopus by RTG

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering. 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, ETL, or Business Intelligence projects. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric tools (Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI). Solid understanding of data modeling, governance, and integration principles. Proven experience working with external vendors and managing data implementation projects. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Analytics Engineer.

Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities with the external vendor implementing the Data Warehouse solution. Participate in designing data architecture, models, and integration processes using Microsoft Fabric components. Oversee ETL/ELT processes and data ingestion pipelines, ensuring data consistency and quality. Ensure proper integration between source systems and the Data Warehouse. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements. Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are followed. Document data mappings, lineage, and architecture diagrams. Manage and optimize performance, monitoring, and capacity planning post go-live. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to empower internal data and analytics teams. Act as the organization’s subject matter expert for Data Warehousing and Microsoft Fabric platform operations.
