Requirements:
PhD or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field 10+ years of progressive experience in technology research, development, and design in medium voltage applications Extensive knowledge of distribution grids, electrical infrastructure, IEC standards, and MV assembly products Strong experience in power grid protection & control, substation automation, grid resilience, or grid edge control Hands-on experience with lab/field testing of operational technologies, including protection relays and automation controllers Proven ability to develop research programs and work collaboratively across disciplines Leadership and mentoring experience Excellent communication skills in English
Responsibilities:
Serve as a domain expert and leader in research, technology development, and demonstration for medium voltage standards and applications Lead projects, ensuring technical flow, milestone tracking, and team coordination while mentoring junior staff Develop technical value propositions and contribute to government and industrial proposals Cultivate business relationships through presentations, ideation events, and external partnerships Engage actively in industry forums, conferences, standard committees (IEC, IEEE, VDE, NEN, CIRED) and author scientific publications and IP disclosures Apply processes, systems, and tools effectively to achieve technical and strategic objectives
