Math Instructor (FT) Remote - NC

Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field. 1+ years of teaching experience in math or experience working in a college-level tutoring center. GPA of 3.5 or higher. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites. Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise/distraction. Experience teaching at the college or community college level (ideal). Robust understanding of classroom pedagogy and ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans. Mastery of SAT and ACT Math, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics.

Instruct small groups of students in math core skills for long-term understanding and exam scores. Track student progress through the curriculum and engage them in individualized growth opportunities. Model professionalism and organizational skills by replying to students promptly, maintaining schedules, and holding students accountable. Spearhead the development and creative execution of lesson plans and curriculum. Mentor middle and high school students with empathy regarding the college application process.
