Requirements:
Strong understanding of UK and EU HSE legislation and industry best practices. Ability to interpret and apply risk-based safety requirements. Familiarity with contractor prequalification and risk-based auditing. Proficiency in online audit platforms and software systems. Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office Suite). Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and audit metrics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver customer delight through CARES+ principles. Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders. Fluency in English and either German or Italian is required. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment. 2-year or 4-year degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred). NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certifications (preferred). 1–5 years of experience in safety auditing, contractor verification, or HSE program development. Experience working with EU-based suppliers or in a multinational environment is a plus. Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
Conduct manual audits of contractor safety and health programs, procedures, and training documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and client site requirements. Meet defined SLA timelines for audits (e.g., 10 business days). Maintain audit quality and compliance with Avetta protocols (≥95% per quarter). Provide technical guidance and support to contractors to close audit gaps. Respond to supplier inquiries via email or phone within 24–48 hours. Assist in audit closure and verification processes. Maintain accurate and timely records in contractor account notes. Escalate unresolved issues to the QHSE Lead, EMEA or designated Safety Professionals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support EU supplier engagement and continuous improvement.
