Database Administrator (Remote from North Carolina)

6–10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator Deep knowledge of SQL Server and MySQL Experience supporting AWS database platforms, including RDS and Aurora Strong database troubleshooting, query tuning, and performance optimization skills Familiarity with third-party SQL tools such as Idera, RedGate, SolarWinds DPA, Datadog, or Splunk SSIS/SSRS development and deployment experience Experience with very large databases (VLDB > 1 TB) Exposure to NoSQL platforms Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotations Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Maintain database environment stability, reliability, and high performance Respond to alerts and escalations, troubleshoot issues, and implement long-term solutions Collaborate with engineering teams to define and enforce database security standards and compliance policies Deploy, tune, and monitor database objects Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and support L1, L2, and L3 operations Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements Contribute to critical projects that enhance database infrastructure
