Responsibilities:
Prepare Quarterly and year-end tax provision, federal, state and local tax returns. Maintain internal controls for SOX 404 compliance. Timely file federal, state and local tax returns. Assist in financial accounting for income tax on quarterly and annual basis. Maintain knowledge of relevant tax and accounting regulations. Prepares governmental tax returns and claims for tax refunds. Maintains organization's tax records and files. Minimizes tax liability through efficient application of current tax law. Avoids penalties and interest by maintaining adherence to internal controls, tax calendar, and policy. Investigates and responds to notices from various taxing authorities. Reconciles general ledger accounts relating to corporate income, franchise, and other tax. Researches tax issues, applies results, and writes professional memos. Interacts with internal and external auditors. Completes special projects assigned by management.
