Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience, Master’s with 12+ years, or PhD with 9+ years. Minimum 5–7 years in SQL development and database management. Proven experience working with complex database systems and data warehousing solutions. Strong expertise in SQL programming, query optimization, performance tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting. Deep knowledge of major DBMS platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Experience with data modeling, database architecture, ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, Talend), and data warehousing concepts. Understanding of backup, recovery, database security, user roles, and permissions. Familiarity with cloud database platforms such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database. Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell. Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities. Experience with version control systems, Agile methodologies, mentoring junior developers, and advanced DB certifications is a plus.
