Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, Masters in relevant field preferred. Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Experience managing technical aspects of greenhouse gas accounting in the agriculture field. Field or research experience with soil organic carbon (SOC) and land use change models, greenhouse gas profiles, and mitigation strategies of agricultural commodities. Industry/sector understanding of GHG profiles and mitigation strategies for FLAG commodities. Strong customer/client service orientation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking. Team player with cross-group collaboration and problem-solving abilities. Working understanding or experience with climate corporate leadership standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi, AIM Platform, Value Change Initiative, TCAT). Experience developing or evaluating Life-cycle assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). Understanding of corporate supply chain management or procurement. Experience using data analysis software, Excel (basic to intermediate skill).
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients to identify decarbonization opportunities. Ensure adherence to GHG calculation methodologies and relevant standards. Provide technical advisory on GHG mitigation and agricultural topics. Track status and direction of key standards like GHG Protocol and SBTi. Support Winrock's engagement with standards and advise clients. Manage technical aspects of greenhouse gas accounting in agriculture. Lead or support client interactions, presentations, and research. Track and manage technical advisory requests. Prepare client-facing communication materials. Conduct desk research on corporate climate mitigation leadership standards. Support new business outreach and proposal development. Perform calculations using greenhouse gas and economic activity data. Work with small teams, provide guidance and leadership.
