Staff Backend Engineer, Python

Extensive experience (10+ years) building server-side applications Detailed knowledge of Python, Java, C#, or another similar language Sound knowledge of a backend framework FastAPI, Flask, Django Experience working within a service-oriented architecture and implementing and consuming RESTful APIs Experience engineering scalable and reliable solutions in a cloud-native environment Mindset of delivering secure, well-tested and well-documented software Experience integrating with various third party providers and partners Experience with relational databases Comfortable working in an agile environment Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience Exposure to continuous integration, delivery and deployment

Defining and owning part of the target architecture for your domain Working on early engineering phases to lay the groundwork for teams Working with the product team to select technology partners Leading backend engineers across multiple agile teams Aligning vision and roadmap of target architecture with other Staff Engineers Translating requirements into well-engineered solutions with product owners, mobile & web engineers, data scientists, and other business members Making key contributions to Community of Practice and applying experience to become a beacon of best practices
