Responsibilities:
Scope legal and policy review for community and stakeholder engagement in clean energy projects. Research legal issues and policy solutions for regional power grid and state-level utility planning. Use legal analysis and data to advance energy efficiency and building decarbonization initiatives. Examine state laws for agencies’ existing authority to cap GHG emissions. Provide legal support for regulatory interventions before Public Utilities Commissions. Analyze energy contracts and procurements for their impact on costs, reliability, and emissions. Draft public comments, policy memos, or outreach materials.
