Senior SDK Engineer, Android

Strong engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production-quality code in Kotlin or Java for Android. Experience in React Native development. Comfortable moving between languages and toolchains, picking up new technologies quickly. Experience building or maintaining SDKs, APIs, or developer-facing frameworks. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, testing, and release processes in multi-language environments. Collaborative, pragmatic, and communicative. (Bonus) Understanding of real-time systems, multimedia pipelines, or network performance. (Bonus) Experience with cross-platform SDK design or bridging native modules.

Own the Android SDK and React Native bindings, guiding design, development, and long-term maintenance. Contribute to shared modules powering LiveKit’s multi-language SDK ecosystem. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth integration and consistent developer experience. Diagnose and solve complex cross-platform performance or reliability issues. Improve CI/CD, testing, and release processes across SDKs. Optimize systems for low latency, scalability, and efficiency.
