Compliance Officer

U.S. Person (required under ITAR). 5+ years in export compliance, trade compliance, defense contracting, or similar fields. Strong working knowledge of ITAR (22 CFR Parts 120–130). Strong working knowledge of EAR (15 CFR 730–774). Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS compliance frameworks. Experience conducting technical classifications. Experience managing controlled technical data. Experience developing or maintaining Technology Control Plans. Ability to collaborate with engineering teams. Ability to evaluate technical documentation. Strong organizational and communication skills.

Conduct technical data and software classifications. Maintain HavocAI’s Technology Control Plan (TCP). Manage foreign-person access reviews. Develop and enforce controls for handling controlled technical data. Prepare and manage Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) requests and export licenses. Train teams on export-control responsibilities. Prepare, maintain, and submit Representations & Certifications. Track compliance requirements under FAR/DFARS. Review contracts for export-control clauses and flow-down obligations. Support negotiations involving government terms and conditions. Build and implement internal policies governing controlled technical data and systems. Establish a compliance incident response process. Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries and audit support. Support go-to-market team ensuring submissions comply with requirements.
