Requirements
- 5+ years in Operations with experience in a risk or fraud function as a senior individual contributor or subject-matter expert.
- Experience acting as a senior analytical voice providing technical leadership and mentoring.
- Highly analytical, data-driven decision-making.
- Expert in SQL (MySQL or similar).
- Comfortable with at least one scripting language (Python or JS) or workflow tools (n8n, Retool).
- Understanding of Risk within a SaaS/payments company.
- Proactive approach to problem identification and resolution.
- Excellent communicator, able to translate complex data into business decisions.
- Competent project lead.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to optimize processes and enhance the risk tech stack.
- Act as a player-coach, guiding analysts and setting priorities.
- Design and implement tools for fraud detection, policy enforcement, and chargeback reduction.
- Identify and address operational inefficiencies.
- Drive evaluation, selection, and rollout of new risk/fraud technologies.
- Analyze transactional/behavioral data to extract patterns and build dashboards.
- Facilitate continuous improvement and experimentation within Risk Ops.
