Senior Software Architect (Java/Angular) - GovTech / HR Software (Brazil)

8+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 3-5 years in a dedicated Software Architect or Principal Engineer role. Mastery of the Java/Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security) and deep knowledge of JVM performance tuning. Expert in cloud-native design patterns and hands-on experience architecting on AWS (deep knowledge of ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, IAM, etc.). Authority in data architecture, including relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases, caching strategies, and event streaming (Kafka/Kinesis). Deep understanding of front-end architecture (Angular) and its integration with distributed backend systems. Demonstrated leadership in establishing technical governance, mentoring senior talent, and influencing without direct authority. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Define and own the end-to-end technical architecture and roadmap for legacy application modernization. Establish and govern enterprise-wide architectural principles, standards, and best practices. Lead technology selection and evaluation for the entire stack. Architect for key non-functional requirements including scalability, reliability, security, performance, and cost-optimization on AWS. Champion a culture of innovation, researching and introducing emerging technologies. Lead Architecture Review Boards and technical governance processes. Collaborate with CTO, VPs, and Product Management to translate business strategy into technology strategy. Partner with DevOps/SRE teams to design and evolve CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code platform. Act as the highest-level technical authority, providing guidance on complex technical challenges. Create and maintain key architectural artifacts. Mentor and upskill Tech Leads and Senior Engineers. Drive the adoption of AI-powered development tools and practices.
