Minimum 5 years' experience across VMware core technologies at a senior support level Experience in handling critical customer situations Knowledge of NSX-T Architecture (Managers, Controllers, Transport Nodes, Edge Nodes, TEPs) Understanding of Logical Switching & Routing (Segment creation, Tier-0/Tier-1 gateways) Understanding of Distributed Firewall (DFW) and Gateway Firewall (GFW) Understanding of Edge Services (Load balancer, NAT, VPN) Mandatory knowledge of VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, VM networking, vDS) Mandatory knowledge of Rest API, Curl, and Postman Mandatory knowledge of Certificates (Self-signed, CA) Mandatory proficiency on Linux/UNIX Mandatory proficiency in Networking (L3 protocols, switching, routing, IP subnetting, firewalls, load balancers, VPN) Mandatory proficiency in Packet Capture/Wireshark Familiarity with systems management concepts (SNMP, capacity/performance management, storage/network management) Required Certifications: Linux LPIC-1, LPIC-2 Optional Certifications: Networking CCNA, CCNP; VMware VCP, VCP-NV, VCAP-NV
