Requirements:
Degree in STEM field or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database design, or algorithm development. Strong programming skills in Python. Expertise in SQL and database architecture. Proven experience designing and deploying machine learning or optimization algorithms. Familiarity with hardware–software integration, scientific instrumentation, and data modeling.
Responsibilities:
Create and implement a paired {protocol: datapoint} SQL database for labware tracking. Design and develop optimization algorithms (ML, Bayesian, mechanistic). Build GUIs and APIs for human and AI scientist interaction with data and models. Develop and integrate software components with hardware and robotic systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions. Maintain detailed technical documentation.
