Requirements:
5+ years of software engineering experience. At least 3 years in a direct people management role. Experience building scalable, customer-facing SaaS products using Python/Django, TypeScript/React, AWS, and Kubernetes. Strong experience with software design principles and patterns. Proven track record of evolving large-scale applications. Experience working with legacy codebases and making strategic decisions. Strong knowledge of agile development practices, CI/CD, test automation, and building for observability. Empathetic, accountable, self-driven leader. Excellent communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences. Maintains a professional and current LinkedIn profile.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 6–8 software engineers, providing coaching for technical excellence and career growth. Lead the team to deliver consistently against ambitious goals. Own the technical direction and long-term vision for the Purchasing team. Balance technical debt repayment with new feature development. Guide efforts in evolving the Python/Django monolith towards a modular architecture. Partner with Product Manager and Designer to understand customer needs. Mentor senior engineers and team leads. Collaborate with Security, Platform, and Data teams.
