Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Postgres security, encryption, RLS and permissions
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals
- Hands-on experience building extensions in C and Rust
- Understanding of PostgreSQL internals (parser, planner, WAL mechanics, MVCC)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for managed PostgreSQL deployments
- Experience with PostgreSQL's background worker framework, shared memory management, and hook system
- Experience in async or globally distributed teams
Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand the stability and functionality of hosted Postgres offering
- Build extensions in C and Rust
- Troubleshoot managed PostgreSQL deployments
- Analyze core dumps and resolve performance problems
- Build testing and own idempotent deployment to many running postgres instances
- Work with complex extension ecosystems, understanding compatibility and upgrade paths
