Senior Backend Engineer (Scala)

Experience building production-grade FP systems (Scala preferred, Haskell/Clojure/Elm accepted) Solid understanding of functional programming principles Experience using the Typelevel stack: Scala 2.13+/ Scala 3, cats/cats-effect/zio Experience with infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, GraphQL, PostgreSQL Fluency in English, both written and spoken Comfortable working in small, fast-paced, product-focused teams

Design, build, and maintain production systems Work across the stack Rapidly prototype new ideas Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations Write high quality code Review code and engage peers Participate in the full development lifecycle Help shape our engineering culture and technical direction
