Staff Platform Engineer

10+ years of experience in software development Experience building developer platforms/frameworks (Backstage.io, Cortex, Humanitec, score.dev) Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience migrating workloads onto Kubernetes/EKS Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, system monitors, and log aggregation services Experience with CI/CD tools like Github Actions, Gitlab, Circle CI, Argo, Kargo Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including CloudFormation and Teraform Knowledge of observability best practices and logging/monitoring tools Experience with AWS systems such as ECS, Lambda, RDS Experience writing services in Go, Python, C++ or Java Have built scalable internal and public-facing APIs (REST, JSON, HTTP) Experience integrating 3rd party API's (REST, OAuth) Expertise in working with various data storage technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases Knowledge of microservices architecture and related technologies Familiarity with agile methods and Scrum or Kanban frameworks Comfortable shipping code multiple times per day Proven experience in influencing and mentoring other members of the Engineering team Experience designing and delivering high-available, scalable cloud-based systems Track record of setting the technical and organizational direction for a growing engineering team
