Requirements:
3-5 years of direct, hands-on email marketing + retention strategy experience in a manager position, ideally for DTC or eCommerce brands Deep Klaviyo expertise — including flows, campaigns, segmentation, tagging, and reporting Strong project management skills Excellent QA skills Analytical mindset Strong grasp of direct response marketing principles Proven experience designing, executing, and iterating on A/B tests Understanding of deliverability fundamentals and best practices Comfort working cross-functionally with copy, creative, retention, and analytics teams Ability to thrive in a fast-paced ambiguous environment Proactive problem-solver Clear, respectful, and prompt communication Detail-oriented Growth mindset, adaptable, open to feedback Strong 'builder' desire Basic Figma, HTML, or copywriting skills (Bonus)
Responsibilities:
Conduct market, customer, and competitor research Adapt messages for customer journeys Synthesize insights into actionable opportunities for lifecycle and subscriptions Define customer journey maps Design subscription program structures Lead subscription growth initiatives Explore loyalty/membership programs Prioritize lifecycle flow buildout Set personalization frameworks Define cross-channel orchestration rules Own content calendar Collaborate on message architecture and offers Define and refine segmentation strategies Own personalization strategy at scale Oversee integration of external data Ensure governance for data Validate segments for reporting Own deliverability strategy Lead systemic improvement projects for deliverability Maintain compliance across Email, SMS, and DM Protect and strengthen email deliverability Troubleshoot deliverability issues Design and own testing roadmap Interpret test results into retention strategies Own reporting frameworks Partner with measurement team for dashboards Own lifecycle projects end-to-end Manage cross-functional alignment Apply frameworks to retention initiatives Forecast resources and manage capacity
