Senior Software Engineer, Core Replication

At least 5 years of relevant professional or academic experience Experience with scalability, concurrency, parallelism, replication protocols, and correctness Passion for distributed systems and consensus protocols Knowledge of at least one consensus protocol (Paxos, Raft, others) Strong understanding and experience of C++ (ideally modern C++17 or C++20) Experience with profiling and benchmarking Pride in writing robust, well-abstracted code Experience or desire to work with a 100% distributed engineering team Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Build out replication technologies for data streaming Replicate and rebalance data efficiently considering network layout, latency, and resource utilization Contribute to performance and scalability of the data streaming platform Collaborate with product managers, designers, SREs, support, and customer success Deliver solutions to challenging distributed systems problems Deliver an ambitious technical roadmap Deliver robust solutions to complex technical challenges for a high-throughput, large-scale, mission-critical product Shape the company's future and grow professionally
